Album Art Excercise

For this exercise we were required to select different details of a piece of album art by randomly selecting links from wikipedia and quote pages, this would gives us the random result of what our band name, album name and image would be and from this we are required to produce a rough album cover using photoshop to prepare us for the digipak creation.

The band name i received was:

After a lot of photo editing, colour correction, contrast adjustments, Colour highlights, shadow highlights, and HDR toning etc. I ended up with an image that i was proud to say looked a lot better than its original. Once i arrived with this image i used DaFont to find a suitable font for my ablum name that i wanted on the cover. I arrived with this. 

I then used this font on the photo, positioned the text where i liked it and made suitable adjustments to the strength and boldness of the font.
