This is the video we made to go along with the voice track we recorded when asking people the 7 question on our audience feedback list that we made. This has helped us to gain an amazing understanding of our final coursework and what we did well compared to what was not so great and more importantly what we would do differently if we were to do something like this again.
the 7 questions were:
- What did you like about our music video?
- On a scale of 1-10, how effective is the pace of editing compared to the beat of the song?
- How effective is our use of costumes in the music video?
- How could we have improved our music video?
- Who do you think the target audience is for our music video?
- Do you think the combination of the music video, magazine advert and digipak presents our band with a unique image?
- If you saw the magazine advert and digipak together, would you think that they are for the same album and artist?
What we learned from this;
From carrying out this audience feedback we have learned a lot of useful information that we can use in the future. Such as:
- The digipak should stay black and white
- the editing was done very very well, every new scene falls dead on the beat of the song perfectly.
- we portrayed the "fun montage" theme very well throughout the video
- the pace of editing was done very well in comparison to the beat of the song.
- our costumes contained a lot of creativity, although we did make some continuity errors in terms of alex's wardrobe in some scenes.
- to improve our music video we should focus more on mise-en-scene
- we should of used more locations
- we did very well at defining who our target audience were.
- The digipak, magazine advert and music video are blended together very well, they all relate closely and from this it is easy to tell that they are all for the same band.
